Back in February my boyfriend, daughter and I went to New Orleans, we drove 6 hours to get there and I was pretty excited to go ( being that I’ve never been and have always wanted to visit there.) it was sunny and warm when we got there. Being that my boyfriend is from New Orleans and has family there we got to visit them and they got to meet Aviana for the first time as well. Our first stop was to Cashnets, a local seafood dive that’s very popular and has delicious catfish, seriously I’ve never had catfish that tasted so good before. After we got to the hotel and got our things unpacked we drove to see Chris’s grandparents and his father met us there as well. Aviana was toddling around and playing her grandpa. It was pretty amazing to see four generations in one room together . The next day we met with my father in law and went down to the French Quarters and explored the city, well for me to explore Chris and his dad have been down there countless times so it’s nothing new for them. We went to Cafe DuMonde to get beignets ( so so good ) and walked around . We sat by the water and enjoyed the sunny day together. Seeing Burbon Street in person was nice because it’s full of people, carriage rides and jazz bands filling air with rich music. New Orleans is like another world and a place I enjoyed visiting, even for being there 2 days. We walked to a candy shop where my FIL loves to get pralines ( his favorite ) I actually have never had or heard of pralines before and it’s tasty! Exploring New Orleans and visiting family was fun, even though there’s a lot more to visit and eat , the 48 hours we were there were filled with us walking, driving eating and enjoying the atmosphere there. Luckily, we are going back in a few weeks and I can’t wait to see more of the city and visit family again. If you’re planning to visit New Orleans be sure to check out Cashnets, Cafe DuMonde, explore the French Quarters and admire the artwork. Be sure to get some yummy beignets while you’re there !
I have been wanting to go and after reading this post I need to plan a trip as soon as possible. Thanks for sharing!

Even though I am from Texas, I have actually never been to Louisiana. Lots of friends and family have visited New Orleans and I have heard nothing but good things about the city — it is definitely on my list of places to visit.
Lovely post! x
