Starting my portfolio

Hey guys! I know it’s been a while since my last post but I am back with a new one. If you guys remember a few posts back I wrote about expanding to photography and how I was starting out with it. Well this past Sunday I had a shoot with a friend of mine and her daughter. Even though it was cold, they were great models. The last few days I’ve been learning more and more about my dads camera, I bought a 50mm f/1.8 and I love how crisp, clear and how it focuses well on the subject so the background gets blurred out This photo I shot with a 28-85mm lens, captured a moment of them looking out over the lake. This is one of my favorites from the shoot because I was using different ways to capture them, hence through the tree branches. I received my 50mm f/1.8 lens and tested it out by shooting my baby Aviana. This lens is crisp, clear and it blurs either the background or what you aren’t focusing the camera on. She was watching Sesame Street during our mini shoot. Using this lens so far, I really like it. It’s lightweight, focuses well and can be used to shoot almost anything. I hope to get an 85mm lens one day as well. Since I’m a beginner in this photography industry, I want to get all the practice I can get with shooting and editing. I wanted to share a few photos I’ve taken with the Nikon and I hope you guys like them! If any of you have friends or family in Long Island,NY spread the word about me and my photography business, I’d love to keep building my portfolio and create great work for others.
