Why Fall is the best season

From the hot 87 degree days, warm breezes and the sun setting at 9pm, summer brings out the happiness and excitement in people. From June to August it’s two months of vacations, parties and beautiful sunny days. Once Fall rolls around, some people become disheartened because it means we’re getting closer to the colder months, but Fall is a wonderful season. It becomes warm (even though here in New York it’s been in the 80s), the leaves changes to beautiful hues of red, orange, yellow and green, the air becomes more crisp and the holidays, I mean who doesn’t love Halloween and Thanksgiving?

Growing up, when Fall came my brother and I would always love helping our dad rake the leaves into mountainous piles and jump in them. We would take out Halloween and other Fall decorations and hang them in the trees in the yard, buy pumpkins to carve and set out on the front steps and watch how the sunset.

I look forward to Fall every year because there are festivals and street fairs that go on during September and October on a crisp sunny Sunday for a couple of hours you can but street food, crafts, jewelry, clothes and games . It’ll be more fun this year since I have my daughter to bring along. It’s something about this season that makes me as excited as when summer approaches, and when it’s close to Christmas time. Everyone knows that once September hits, it’s pumpkin spice everything and you can finally put on your favorite combat boots, sweaters and beanies. I usually buy more clothes suitable for the Fall season because I love cardigans and boots, along with jackets too.

When I was college, one thing I loved about the campus was how beautiful it was, especially during the Fall semester because there’s trees along the sidewalks and buildings that change to the red, green and yellow colors. It would be so picturesque and just a beautiful site to see when entering the campus. Going to manhattan the scenery is different, I mean it’s the same places and buildings but because of how nature changes it makes everything look different but in a good way. I enjoy the cooler weather ( even though I like 75-85 degree days) it’s not too cold or too warm, the weather is pretty much perfect. As I mentioned earlier the holidays, Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas, we don’t get the holiday spirit any other time of the year and I feel Fall puts everyone in that mood to look forward to the holidays.
